ACTIVITIES: DININGS As a region blessed with its own cuisine as well as foreign travelers, the choice of dining places in Barcelona is limitless. Barrio Chino is a location for a wide range of restaurants from classy and costly to the modest and inexpensive. Restaurants in L'Eixample may be more uniform in pricing, but they do compete with lunchtime bargains which turns out to be the benefit of the customers. A little further out, Grŕcia is a nice district peppered with good mid-range restaurants as well as decent bars and nightclubs to continue the night at. The Barceloneta district and Port Olímpic have numerous eateries which are well-known for their elaborate sarsuelas (fish stews) and all kinds of fish and seafood which Barcelona is very proud of. Also, the local chains shouldn't be dismissed as they often are very well-organized, have standard flavor and services, and the ambience and decor are quite amicable.
